      The New Moon each month is a Power Day. A wonderful day to start new projects or goals and watch them grow till the next New Moon. The New Moon this month is in the sign of Aries and the following are some of the subjects that you might consider working on: courage, initiative, self-discovery, independence, leadership, self-awareness, etc.--all ruled by Aries. On this day make a small list of what you want to work on or wish you could achieve and do the work till the next New Moon. The New Moon in Aries is the single most powerful day of the year for granting wishes --to yourself!

     The New Moon occurs late on the 5th in the United States at 16 Aries. We have a T-square in the New Moon chart between Mars, Jupiter and the Sun and Moon. Housing will continue to be a critical issue in this country as will financial matters in general.

     Because Pluto is retrograde between 1° and 2° Capricorn, people born in the first two days of the cardinal signs--Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn will feel the effects of this transit. Pluto is transformation, so in some way the call for transformation will be felt.

     The North Node in Aquarius nears a conjunction both to Neptune and Chiron. There is a friendlier atmosphere in the air. Our attitudes toward our friends and the world in general is more high-spirited and we know that the spirit of equality will soothe the turmoil of feelings emanating from problems in our private and public world. It is a good time to review any past hurt or wound concerning friendships and work toward healing them. It is a good time also to set aside some time just for simple daydreaming which might just give us the awareness as to what might really make us happy.

     Sun sextiles Neptune @23°Aries/Aquarius on the 12th. Focus on the dreams that matter most to you. The life you want to live is quite attainable, once you envision it clearly.

     A Grand Trine involving the Sun in Taurus, Saturn in Virgo, and Pluto in Capricorn, all earth signs, occurs on the 20th and 21st. A great time to use our energies in practical matters and success is assured. Goals can be achieved at work. Bosses and co-workers will support your pet projects and plans, so do present them at this time.  Projects that we are working on can be completed now. Do initiate new projects (particularly, the practical ones) now. A Grand Trine allows energy to flow easily but you have to activate it before anything happens. So, push forward and watch your success!

    A powerful Yod is going on most of the month. A Yod is often referred to as "the finger of fate". Yod involves Jupiter in Capricorn sextiling Uranus in Pisces, while both are in a quincunx aspect to the South Node in Leo. We are called upon to make adjustments as to how we achieve our goals. We need to change our inner attitudes to more effectively deal with the circumstances in our daily lives. When we run into blocks or obstacles toward getting what we want, we need to pull back and rethink how we can change and move forward differently to achieve our aims. An opportunity is presented (sextile aspect) but adjustments need to be made (quincunx aspects) before we can take advantage of the opportunity. That is the message of the YOD. If you have a Yod aspect in your natal chart, it presents a great deal of tension and challenge but also a great deal of success in your life.

     On the 22nd Mars trines Uranus @21°Cancer/Pisces. You are speedy and efficient but watch that you are not foolhardy and hasty. Pace yourself.   

     The best time for signing contracts and negotiating agreements would be from the 28th to the 29th. of April. Avoid marriages and important parties and social events on the 23rd to the 24th.
