     The symbol for Cancer is the crab, represented by the claws and expressed by the self-gathering tenacity by which all life constructs its actual world. Cancer in any chart will show a native's capacity for rebuilding things.

     The sign of cancer is ruled by the moon, making people born under this sign, moody, sensitive and impressionable. They are whimsical, brooding, fanciful personalities, strongly instinctive, but very timid, and sometimes they are unwilling to face realities.

     There are two distinct type of Cancer personalities. The active type is masculine in manner, strong-willed, and very persistent. These people are masterful in their approach to life and tirelessly active. They are up to date and very interested in everything modern and current.      Cancer rules the stomach, the breasts and lower lungs. Afflictions to the sun can result in trouble to these parts, in indigestion, ulcers and other digestive disorders. The Cancer influence is not one of health and vigor. All through the life the vitality is low and there is little resistance to disease. The stomach is weak and the appetite large, so that possible illness is increased by poor health habits.

     Cancer natives have a great reverence for the past, and an exaggerated idea of its virtues. To them the past means the "good old days" (the only ones that they really remember!).
