      A cardinal, earth  and feminine sign, Capricorn is ruled by the planet, Saturn. Since Saturn is a father figure, old and wise, natives of this sign appear old when they are young and young after they are old. They age beautifully and the sign is one of the best of all signs for longevity.

     Capricorn represented by the "goat" gives the natives tremendous power and ambition to initiate projects and  sticking to them till completed. The character is noble and self-respect is one of its strongest qualities. The Saturian influence gives caution, prudence and thrift, as well as great solidity and strength of moral character.

     The native is very serious in disposition, with a strong sense of duty. These qualities may sometimes be exaggerated and become faults. Steadiness, foresight, trustworthiness, fidelity and  conscientiousness are nearly always present.

     The constitution is usually of iron, capable of undergoing any degree of hardship; with great resisting power against disease. Capricorn governs the joints, particularly those of the knees, and has a general association with the bones and teeth of the body. The chief danger to the native's health is rheumatism and in the tendency to over-indulge in the appetites. He eats greedily of hot or spicy food, preferring it to any other.

     The Saturnian tendency to melancholia is also a dangerous element in this position of the sun. The fact is that the worst drunkards are often found to have the Sun in Capricorn comes largely from the mental and physical depression caused by Saturn.

     The Capricorn person is dependable and will follow his routine and complete his tasks with enviable exactitude. His attendance is perfect and never misses his duties. They can adjust themselves to any hardship to attain an end. Their nature repels luxury or even the average pleasures and social contacts. They seek no friends as they distrust almost everyone and are so old for their age. It is hard to know into what group they rightfully belong. They do not avoid marriage, however, but accept it as part of our inherited scheme of life.

     The Capricorn financial judgment  is apt to be too conservative for real profits. Natives are miserly people by instinct and cannot relax this tendency even when paid to make money for someone else.

     As a parent, a Capricorn is usually too domineering and tend to squelch the children's desire for self-expression. Too, they are  not inclined to be very demonstrative and affectionate. With employees and inferiors, he is exacting and severe.

     These natives get along with people with moon in Capricorn and other earth signs such as Taurus and Virgo.
