This month there is a great deal of optimism and upbeat energy as the Sun, Jupiter, and Pluto are all in the sign of Sagittarius, a sign ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and optimism. We are more positive about trusting future outcomes and a better tomorrow.
Mars continues in retrograde motion all month and remains that way till January 30, 2008. Our energy is thwarted now and we cannot move forward as fast as we would like. Since Mars is retrograde in the sign of Cancer which rules the family and home life, we are forced to reflect on issues of security in our home. Are our family relationships working for us and how can we make improvements? Family tensions my arise during the holidays. Since the holidays involve a great deal of family gatherings, this would be a could time to re-evaluate as to how we can enjoy our family more. Are family members pushing us to do more than we want or able to do? Are they pushing their values on us rather than we choosing our own? A Mars retrograde time gives us the opportunity to reflect on these family issues.
On the 6th, Mercury and Venus tie up with Saturn (Sagittarius/Virgo). Social communication does not come easy. Intimate relationships require extra effort. There is a tendency to resist being receptive and vulnerable. Try to see that you will not be destroyed if you get close.
Jupiter is conjunct Pluto on the 11th (at 28° Sagittarius). There is a great surge of power for expansion and transformation with this aspect. Seize it!!
The New Moon occurs on the 9th at 17° Sagittarius. Each New Moon is a POWER DAY. It's a good day to make a small list of things that you would like to work on and achieve. Since the Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius, you could choose to work on the following topics: adventure, spontaneity, ethical behavior, religion, philosophy, etc., -all ruled by Sagittarius. Always choose a New Moon day to start a new endeavor or project and watch it grow!!
Saturn turns retrograde in Virgo on the 19th and will station direct on May 2, 2008. Saturn is very comfortable in the sign of Virgo as it is the sign that likes discipline and organization. During this period we will be given the opportunity to organize our lives so that we are more efficient in the future.
On the 23rd the Sun conjuncts Jupiter at 1° Capricorn. Supporters now can help you to achieve your ambitions. Your professional and business goals hold huge potential now. The ego urge (Sun) is to expand ones horizons to reach new heights. The planet Jupiter gives a big boost to the Sun.
Sun opposes Mars at 2° (Capricorn/Cancer) on the 24th. An aggressive agenda helps to organize and energize holiday activities. Watch for conflicts over who is in charge.
Mars opposes Jupiter @ 1° (Cancer/Capricorn) on the 26th. This aspect makes for a lively family holiday with the added high energy to break free of restraints.
On Sunday the 30th the Sun trines Saturn at 8° (Capricorn/Virgo). You can now make very solid professional or family gains and influence those in charge. You can also take over with quiet confidence yourself.
