     From the 1st to the 7th, Mercury opposes Pluto (exact on the 4th at 1°Cancer/Capricorn). You may meet unpleasant verbal confrontations
concerning family secrets. Misunderstanding with family members may have you feeling that they are trying to control you thru their powerful
verbal discussions. Watch what you say to family members or to your boss at work as it may do more harm than good. These days are volatile
and your approach should be to let things ride over till they are over rather than pushing your ego forward. It is better to keep a low profile
rather than open your mouth and do damage.

     During the same time, Mars in Taurus squares Jupiter in Aquarius (from the 1st to the 11th, exact on the 6th at 26°), which also causes us a great deal of agitation  as we want and need  our personal comfort yet our feelings are at odds with those around us who feel that the groups needs are more important. Be patient and observe your needs and others too. Eventually you will find out the best course of action to take.

     Sun in Cancer trines Uranus in Pisces from the 11th to the 22nd (exact on the 18th at 26°). New people and situations enter your life resulting in a new outlook and behavior. A trine aspect results when two planets are in harmony with each other so their action in your life is very positive. Nice things can be achieved with this aspect.

     A Lunar Eclipse occurs on the 7th at 15°-24' Capricorn. Eclipses are extra potent New and Full Moons. During a Lunar Eclipse, solar radiation to the moon is blocked by the Earth's mass, creating a momentary energetic breach in time and space. Full moons, and especially eclipses, expose the shadow sides of both signs involved. The shadow side of Cancer is immaturity and self-indulgence. Emotional denial is at the core. Repressed emotions overflow the banks of our defenses during a Full Moon. This lunar eclipse highlights the longstanding inequality between the masculine and feminine and the necessity of returning to the spiritual intentions of the fourth and 10th signs (Cancer and Capricorn). The positive expression of Cancer is nurturance and protection of life. The positive side of Capricorn is integrity, discipline, and dedication to what serves all concerned.

     The environment is very unstable during an eclipse. A week before an Eclipse you should  not make any major decisions as they could be very fated. Let go of any structures in your life that are not working for you particularly the ones at your job. You need hard work, discipline and responsibility to get ahead. However, unstable emotions and outcomes drive ambitions. The effects of this Eclipse will be felt for about 7 weeks.

     Jupiter is conjunct Neptune on the 10th at 26° Aquarius. Chiron joins them. The last Jupiter/Chiron conjunction occurred on June 16, 1990 at 16°12' Cancer. What were your visions and dreams twelve years ago? What are they now? Our faith and hope inspire us to believe in dreams now. Our concepts concerning expansion can be distorted with this aspect. There is likely to be expensive programs  and much social spending. If it is touching one of your planets, you might feelthat you have a "free lunch". Look before your optimism misdirects you into some venture that is too good to be true. Use the power of this Full Moon to clarify your goals. Remember: When you blame others, you give up your power to change.

       A Total Eclipse of the Sun occurs on the 21st at 29°-26' Cancer (the same degree as the Eclipse of July 21, 1990). What was important for you back then? What are your feelings and needs now?  The Eclipse will usher new insights as to how we can nurture others in a more loving way. Loved ones need emotional stability and tender support as do you. A warm, comfortable family nest provides caring security. If you were born on this  date (July 21st), you will have a very eventful year. This Eclipse is also a New Moon and it quincunx Pluto (150° aspect). An adjustment needs to be made a this time in your home situation and family. Since this New Moon is also a total eclipse and a Super Moon, it appears that we have reached a new balance between the sexes. 

     The days immediately before a New or Full Moon are especially powerful for releasing the physical , emotional, and mental blockage that prevent us from perceiving the greater truth of our being.

     The week of July 28 to August 4 is the week before the Lunar Eclipse at 14° Aquarius (occurring on the 5th of August). Wait until the week after the eclipse to act because we are in the shadow of the eclipse now. Next week you will see the situation differently, which will motivate you to take a new course of action.
