Moon in Pisces
Ruler: Jupiter (Neptune,
Modern Ruler)
The Moon in Pisces is peculiarly sympathetic. A person with t his moon may receive totally false impressions through the senses. They have an extraordinary refusal to accept things as they are. The outside world came through them through such colored glasses that every thing appeared to be bathed in a luminous mist. These people do not have the power of realizing the facts of life with accuracy.
The tendency of Pisces is always to present things in symbolic form. The veil between the gross and the subtle world is but a spider's web, so far as Pisces is concerned. This is what makes this sign so astoundingly psychic.
If this moon receives good aspects from other planets, then she gives true vision, otherwise she is likely to bring the most diseased fancies to birth and to harbor the grossest illusions, particularly with stressful aspects from other planets. In fact, Pisces may be either the best or the worst of all the places for the Moon. Regardless, the tendency to illusion is so strong that the position is not a good one in a world where the capacity to look facts in the face is the principal asset of the masters of life.
One of the dangers of this moon is the need to see everything through "rose-tinted glasses" which drives the native to indulgence in drink and drugs which helps to renew the illusion that everything is beautiful. Any aspect of Neptune to this Moon will naturally accentuate this tendency. After all, Neptune is one of the planets that rules Pisces and the 12th house of self-undoing.
This position of the Moon is highly occult, and fills the spirit with vain, indefinable longings. The person scarcely knows what he or she really seeks. Nothings in this world measures up to their dreams and possessions have no value. They are weary of the struggle for existence and any aspiration, no matter how impossible of attainment, gives them the chance to stretch the wings of the spirit.
Life in this world has its own insistence and the will to live struggles with the Luna Piscean's desire for death. They become bored with the regular routine of life; and seek sensational outlets for their depressed nerves and enervated spirit. For the character that is not strong, this is dangerous-as they can end up being slaves to alcoholic drinks, drugs and spiritualistic mediums.
The natives are uncertain in all the gestures of life. Indecision is the keynote of the character. They are diffident, negative and vacillating, and stubbornly work against any practical judgments that they are forced to make by the natural duties of life. Everything must, in order to please them, have a touch of the ideal. They are usually disappointed with the outcome of anything they tackle, for the end could never measure up to their ideals. This type of person chooses the hard way to do everything, and gets little systematic practice in any field of work. They do not apply themselves consistently, even though they are patient or docile in disposition.
This temperament unrestricted runs natives into a great deal of unhappiness. They become melancholy, brooding and oversensitive, and while they sit viewing life as they would like it to be, the procession marches on without them.
Natives in this group are very talented. They are artistic and love and understand beauty. They are creative, responsive and intuitive and have a soulful poetic type of ability when expressing themselves in the artistic fields. They can succeed as writers, musicians, poets, artists and designers. They fit in very well in the theatrical business, in fact in all braches of the arts.
The personal lives of people born with this moon is apt to have a large proportion of self-sacrifice, loneliness, and renunciation in the life's experience. Pisces is the sign of tears, sorrow and isolation. Sometimes these people turn to work in prisons, criminal investigation and prison reform.
Stronger Luna Pisceans give boundless charity in many fields. There is no other sign so sympathetic with human ills and suffering. When the character has some direction, these people rise to great heights of service to humanity and produce spiritual purity and good work in the world.
Weak Luna Pisceans are deceitful, lying, incompetent, lazy, and a prey to any self-indulgent force or vice that happens to take possession of the mind.
Domestically both sexes are enthusiastic and satisfied with home life. They are personal, possessive people, very affectionate and cooperative in the home. They are easily influenced by the other partner and give plenty of love and affection to the marriage relationship. Women with this position make devoted wives. They are unstinting in their will to give, sympathetic and harmonious, and put a great deal of inspiration into the marriage relationship.
The physical makeup of these people is not robust. They are susceptible to contagious diseases and have very little resistance against colds, chills, sore throats, etc. An afflicted moon gives a leaning toward lung trouble, pneumonia, melancholia, and complaints of the feet.
People who have their Sun or Venus in the sign of Pisces would blend well with people with Moon in Pisces.
