Moon in Taurus:     Ruler: Venus                                        

     The restless quality of the moon is steadied and stabilized in the sign of Taurus ruled by Venus. The moon is said to be exalted in this sign. People with this moon are therefore pleasing, courteous, affable and are inclined to friendship, love and marriage.

     These people are very centered on the material plane. They like to acquire friends, possessions, houses and land. This Moon's needs is to build and maintain a structure. To nurture stability and accumulate security.
Where the goal is  largely material success, the lunar Taureans leave no stone unturned. They are very stubborn!

     People with Moon in Taurus have a very conservative outlook and deep powers of concentration. Nothing revolutionary will come from them as they are conventional to the extreme. They have very fixed and ridged principles. They resist change or outside influences. To launch a new venture, they need stimuli from outside influences as they basically have no initiating power of their own.

      They  have a very practical temperament. The Moon makes them ambitious, worldly, and selfish. They operate slowly and quietly undercover to attain personal ends. They reach their coveted goal by sheer determination. They have a natural unruffled disposition and however moved they may be by events in life, they are outwardly calm. They have no practice with explosive emotions. When they do forget themselves, their cause is lost. 

     They are not intelligent but have a sort of sly instinct that serves them in place of it. They make fine artists and artisans. They prosper in work connected with food, such as restaurants, and grocery stores. Some of them go into real estate and farming. They like to deal with tangible assets and houses. They are also attracted to occupations that involve their voice (Taurus rules the throat) such as singing, public speaking and broadcasting. 

     Their love nature is sensuous, self-seeking, and demanding. Taste and touch are the most developed senses. They are apt to experience sentimental, romantic love affairs in the life, and invariably end a courtship with a marriage. The women often make rich marriages to men considerably higher in the social scale than themselves. The men love with great depth and intensity but are inspired to select women of vast ambition and equally prodigious appetite for spending.

     They react to slow to sense impressions, but very fully when they do! They assimilate new material quite deliberately, slowly and carefully and then act purposefully on it. They never do things on the spur of the moment like Moon in Aries people. . Do not surprise them with a change of plans, they will dislike you for doing so and resist you with all their might.

     Your mother was very practical, affectionate, domestic and very devoted to you. She felt that she knew what was best for you. You probably became obstinate and made it obvious to her that you were a separate individual and determined to stand on your own two feet.

     This Moon give a certain amount of protective stamina against disease. It gives great strength of body and tremendous endurance unless afflicted by other planets or sun in the natal chart. If well aspected, it could indicate a very long life. 

     However, once stricken with a disease the Moon in Taurus person does not recover from illness quickly or easily (as true of all fixed sings). Soar throats, tonsillitis, stiff neck, lock jaw, laryngitis, abscesses, diphtheria, gangrene, and swollen palate are common ailments of this Moon sign. Overindulgence in food and drink can also bring on some of these ailments for these people.
