OUT-OF-BOUNDS --CELESTIAL BODIES

The out-of-bound state of a planet is a deviation from the celestial body's normal energy. The state is manifested as "beyond normal conditions or expectations.  At this time in history,  a celestial body out-of-bounds can only occur beyond the prevailing declination point, approximately 23º 26-28'. This is normally the Solstice Zero Point (0º Aries--0º Libra) at which a concentration of energy exists. Any celestial body found close to this point is a powerhouse to begin with, but out-of-bounds beyond the ecliptic it becomes an unleashed and  uncontrolled energy for good or otherwise.

Above geocentric latitude 23º 26-28' magnetism increases at a greater rate. Between the North & South Poles also a difference exists. The South Pole is said to be the attracting Pole and the North Pole is defined as the detracting opposite. Electro-magnetic energies generated from the celestial bodies tend to be "drawn in" at the South Pole and "emitted" at the North Pole.

Separating North & South extremes is 0º Aries/Libra, the axis on which change from North to South declination (or vice versa) "hinges". When bodies cross this 0º  line, changes tend to occur--changes of all kinds, marriage, divorce, careers, moves, births etc. When planets enter the North declination, an opportunity for closure on some major factor in life occurs and a new beginning or major change results. The effects tend to be based more on personal effort with greater control than in the South declination. South declination describes the area where information is drawn in and where learning occurs. The equinoctial "hinge" is thus a "power line".

Out-of-bounds can occur in a natal, secondary , solar arc, transits, horary, etc charts. How the energy manifests will be according to the planet's nature, sign, and condition. The energy is exaggerated or abnormal. This energy does not necessarily have to manifest in a negative way as some of the most gifted individuals have one or more out-of-bounds natal positions.

In secondary progressions, out-of-bound bodies will tend to bring to the surface out-of-the-ordinary situations--thus opportunity. Every situation that life presents, positive or negative, is an opportunity. The out-of-bounds condition results in greater understanding and answers many of the life questions that baffle us about our world.

Persons born with the Moon out of bounds will show an intense need for personal freedom and an aversion to limitations and boundaries. Examples of persons with the moon out of bounds include Albert Einstein, Thomas Jefferson, Catherine the Great, Oprah Winfrey, Al Gore, Theodore Roosevelt, Lucille Bal and Amelia Earheart.

During the year 2001, Mars in Sagittarius will be out-of-bounds( OOB) from April 15 to October 20 in the South Declination. Maximum declination will be at 27º(25º Sagittarius to 25º Capricorn planets will conjunct this out-of-bounds Mars.)

A good source for learning more about out-of-bounds celestial bodies and declinations is Leigh Westin's spiral book titled "Beyond the Solstice by Declination": An illustrated Introduction to Declination, Planets Out-of-Bounds at the Solstices with Data Tables, and the Three Mavericks.
